COLONIA, N.J. – D'Youville University Athletics had a strong week and was recognized by the East Coast Conference (ECC) with three major weekly award winners and five student-athletes being named to the Honor Roll for the week of August 31 through September 7.
Sarah Reifsnyder started the season right where she left off last year, playing from beginning to end. In D'Youville's lone matchup of the holiday weekend, the junior faced 14 shots, recording 13 saves and allowing only one goal to give the Saints a 3-1 win on Monday.
In Pickering's debut, she found herself pushing the ball downfield and being aggressive quite a bit for the Saints offense. She recorded three shots on goal, netting her first collegiate goal in the 35th minute to push the Saints ahead 2-1.
