MARSHALL, TX – The Buffalo State acrobatics & tumbling team finished their third season in program history this afternoon as they competed at the NCATA Division III Tournament Event Finals at Ornelas Gym.

Competing in the event finals is based on how each team performs in each event and heat during the tournament. The top three overall scores from the tournament in each event will compete one final time in the event finals.
Buffalo State competed in the five-element, six-element, inversion pyramid, open pyramid, open toss, duo tumbling, trio tumbling, and open pass.
Lucy Ingro (Tonawanda, NY/Newfane), Emma Ball (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster), and Julia Purpura (Cheektowaga, NY/Cleveland Hill) each earned a spot on the Division III All-Academic Team.
Grace Gardner (Fairfield, CA/St. Patrick-St. Vincent) earned a spot on the All-Tournament First Team while Jackie Heyden (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) earned a spot on the Second Team.
Gardner competed in the event finals as part of the open toss, duo tumbling, and open pass while Heyden competed in the six-element, open pyramid, open toss, and trio tumbling.
