FREDONIA, NY – The Buffalo State men's and women's outdoor track and field team finished their regular season action today at the Fredonia Invite.
The Bengal breakdown
- Zoee Ziskind (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) cruised to a first-place win in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.25.
- Ethan Mitrano (Penfield, NY/Penfield) won the discus throw at 42.39 meters while Nyla Wilson-Epps (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) won the hammer throw at 48.58 meters.
- The Bengal men had three finishers in the top 10 of the 400-meter as Shiloh Cornel (Cambria Heights, NY/Cardozo) was third, D'Antonio Lawrence (New Windsor, NY/Cornwall) was fourth, and Terrell Price (Depew, NY/Depew) was ninth. Cornel was third later in the meet in the 200-meter dash.
- Mattia Case (Decatur, IL/MacArthur) raced to a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:32.49.
- Nolan Lyon (North Tonawanda, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) won the 110-meter hurdles while Harrison Barrett (Wheatfield, NY/Niagra-Wheatfield) finished second. Lyon later finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Buffalo State had another trio in the top 10 in the 800-meter with Luke Triplet (Depew, NY/Depew) finishing fifth, Pablo Ortiz (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) sixth, and Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) in eighth.
- Jorja Smith (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) was eighth in the women's 5,000-meter with a time of 20:09.85.
- Madison MacNeill (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West) and Heidi House (Sanborn, NY/Starpoint) finished second and third, respectively, in the high jump. In the men's triple jump, Quinn Grover (Buffalo, NY/Alden) was third at 12.57 meters while Christian Chance (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream) was fourth.
