BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo State softball team finished off the weekend with a split against the Oswego State Lakers this afternoon on the Buffalo State Softball Field.

- Mya Hurley (Williamsville, N.Y./Amherst) hit a two-run homer for the Bengals while Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, N.Y./Grand Island) picked up three hits and an RBI.
- Pezdek went the distance in the circle, allowing just three hits with five strikeouts.

How it happened
- Hurley got the Bengals started this afternoon with her second home run of the season.
- Megan Galbraith (Lewiston, N.Y./Lewiston-Porter) drove in another run for Buffalo State to score Pezdek and give the Bengals a 3-0 lead.
- Oswego got a pair of runs back in the top of the third, but the Bengals added two insurance runs in the sixth after a hit from Pezdek and a sac fly from Natalie Burck (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North).
- Pezdek sat down the Lakers 1-2-3 in the seventh to secure the game one win.

- Delaney Wiley drove in both runs for the Lakers.

How it happened
- After a sac fly from the Lakers in the top of the first, Buffalo State scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead. After an error from Oswego forced in a run, Pezdek drove in a second run with a base hit to center field.
- The Bengals scored again in the second on a wild pitch before Hurley knocked in a run with a double to give Buffalo State a 4-0 lead.
- Emma Grasso got the Lakers closer in the fourth inning with a solo shot before Oswego evened the score with a two-run triple.
- In the fifth, the Lakers scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball. Oswego then turned a game-ending double play in the seventh to earn the split.
