James P. Kennedy Jr. no longer is acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of New York. He has the job permanently. U.S. Attorney General Jefferson B. Sessions III announced that Kennedy will move into the post effective Friday. Kennedy has been serving as the acting U.S. Attorney since October 2016.
