Area nonprofits have until Oct. 1 to apply to be considered for a free van, through the Ford Friendship Express program.
Applications for the program, presented by the Ford Dealers of Western New York, are available at wnyford.com, under the tab for "local events."
Since its inception in 1996, the program has donated 77 new vehicles.
