Buffalo’s downtown ballpark opened in 1988 as Pilot Field, named for Pilot Air Freight of Philadelphia. That was the stadium’s name during its iconic opening years, when the Herd sold more than 1 million tickets for the first six seasons the park was opened.

Due to a rainy weather forecast for much of Sunday, the Buffalo Bisons have already decided to postpone their scheduled game Sunday afternoon at Sahlen Field against the Rochester Red Wings.

The Bisons stage their first WCC race of the season in Sahlen Field on March 28, 2025. Since it was a Friday, there should be no surprise about the winner.
