Canisius High School quarterback Christian Veilleux announced on Twitter Friday night that he is transferring to the Bullis School in Potomac, Md., for his junior and senior years and to continue his football career.

He said that he will reclassify as a member of the 2021 recruitment class.

“My time at Canisius was amazing,” Veilleux tweeted. “I would like to thank my teammates, the entire coaching staff, expecially Coach [Rich] Robbins! This past year was an amazing growth process, so thank you!”

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound quarterback threw for 1,699 yards and 17 touchdowns last season as Canisius fell to St. Francis in the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championship in November. He was named as an honorable mention on the 2018 All-Western New York team.

Veilleux has already received offers from the University at Buffalo, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Pittsburgh, according to 247 Sports.

He also participated in a scouting camp at West Virginia and visited Michigan State in February.
