Amie Scherrer of Nardin shot a 41 at Elma Meadows Golf Club on Saturday to win the individual medal of the girls Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championship tournament. Ladies' par for the front nine at the course is 37. The Gators junior had a two-stroke margin over defending champion Eliza Podlas, a Sacred Heart senior.

The top six finishers earned All-Catholic honors. After Scherrer and Podlas came freshman Isabella Mercado-Gonzalez of Buffalo Seminary and senior Grace Sweeney of Mount St. Mary at 51, and senior Kaitlyn Griffin of Sacred Heart and senior Brooke Hogle of Buffalo Seminary at 52.

The tournament closed the Monsignor Martin girls golf season. Sacred Heart won the regular season dual-match championship with a 7-1 record, splitting two matches with defending champion Nardin (6-2). The Gators' other loss was to Mount St. Mary.
