After Tuesday's loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Buffalo Bills are 4-1. Here is how other Bills teams to start 4-1 fared throughout the season:

1965: Finished the regular season at 10-3-1 and won second AFL championship.

1973: Went 9-5 and missed the playoffs.

1974: Started 7-1, but lost four of last six to finish 9-5 and second in AFC East. Lost in divisional playoff at Steelers.

1975: Went 8-6 and missed the playoffs.

1988: Went 12-4 in the regular season. Lost in AFC championship game at Bengals.

1990: Finished 13-3 and went to their first Super Bowl.

1992: Finished 11-5 on the way to a Super Bowl appearance.

1993: Got to 7-1 before losing two of next three. But closed regular season with three more wins to finish 12-4 on way to first in AFC East and Super Bowl appearance.

1995: Finished 10-6 and first in AFC East. Lost in divisional playoffs to Pittsburgh.

1996: Despite a three-game losing streak toward end of season, finished 10-6 and lost in AFC wild-card game to Jaguars.

1999: Finished 11-5 and lost in AFC wild-card game to Titans.

2008: Finished 7-9 and third in AFC East.

2011: Only won twice more to finish 6-10.

2019: Finished 10-6, second in the AFC East, and lost in a wild-card playoff game to the Texans.
