Letter: Jorgensen’s a better choice than Trump or Biden

On May 23, Jo Jorgensen entered the 2020 election race as a Libertarian, opposing both President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Just over half of all eligible voters cast their ballots in 2016, often considered “the most important election of our lifetime.” Why are half of Americans abandoning our political system?

When two parties are so similar, and neither is trusted to run our country competently, it is not surprising. Third parties poll very well when people know about them, spending roughly $1.50 - $4 less per vote than their red and blue adversaries. As a country built of over 300 million, it is insane to believe that all political beliefs can be divided precisely into two parties.

As of now, we have a delusional man who speaks in circles and has a history of allegations against him from many women running for office. The crazy part is that this refers to both Trump and Biden. We have a third option; a psychology professor, masters degree in business, and a Ph.D. Our third option looks better than ever. Oh yeah, she’s a woman too.

What they should consider is that for decades, corporations

When my teenage grandson and friends peacefully marched from Niagara Square to Bidwell Parkway, I have never been prouder, or more hopeful for change. For so many generations, we discussed, protested and legislated to end racial based murders, injustice, discrimination and the senseless mass shootings. Much appreciation to Buffalo News writer Scott Scanlon for the excellent article on health clubs and gyms reopening. It is important for people to stay in shape, both physically and mentally.
