SPOOKED – Ordinarily, the Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service broadcasts readings of newspapers, magazines and books for the visually-impaired, who listen over special “reading radios.” For Halloween week, however, it will air a locally-produced original radio thriller, “The Brain of Dr. Delgado.”

Written by Karen Eichler and Andrew Spragge from Defiant Monkey Improv, it’s on at 8 a.m. today and Tuesday, 3 p.m. Wednesday, 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday. Those without a special reading radio can tune in for a live stream at nfradioreading.com.

ZOOMING IN – Kara Frisina from the Western New York Land Conservancy is guest speaker at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the free IMAGINE lecture series on Zoom. Also free on Zoom is the third program in Niagara University’s “Transformative Visions” presidential speaker series at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Dina Gilio-Whitaker from the Center for World Indigenous Studies in Olympia, Wash., co-author of “All the Real Indians Died Off and 20 Other Myths About Native Americans,” will talk about what environmental justice activists can learn from indigenous peoples.
