New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was spotted sitting behind Notre Dame's bench during its NCAA Tournament game against Princeton Thursday at KeyBank Center, rooting against the Ivy League team from his home state.

Christie, an axed member of President Trump's transition team and a comrade of former Bills coach Rex Ryan, is reportedly close with Notre Dame coach Mike Brey and has been spotted at a number of Fighting Irish games.

Christie's daughter, Sarah, attends Notre Dame while his son, Andrew, played baseball for Princeton before graduating last spring.
