A 63-year-old Cattaraugus County man riding a four-wheeler with his son was killed Saturday when the ATV flipped over backwards onto the riders, sheriff's deputies said.
The accident happened about 6:13 a.m. on the family's property on Miller Hill Road in the town of Ischua. The victim was driving – with his 43-old-son on the back – in woods on a steep trail when it appears the father was unable to negotiate a hill, deputies said. The son was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.
Deputies did not release the victims' names or the son's condition. They said no charges had been filed. The investigation is continuing.
