SUNY Buffalo State University police promised to boost patrols near the site of a shooting that happened over the weekend in a campus parking lot.
The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. Saturday. University police say two men fired shots while chasing two other people in Lot R-15, located at Rees Street and Rockwell Road on the southwest edge of the campus, according to a message sent by Buffalo State officials to the school community.
The people who were being chased ran away from the campus, and the two suspected gunmen drove away.
No one reported an injury stemming from the shooting, according to the university, and no one involved in the incident has spoken with police.
It is also not known whether any of those involved was a Buffalo State student. A university spokesperson said Sunday morning that police have developed suspects in the shooting, but their identities have not been confirmed.
