Buffalo police said they have arrested a woman in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man Wednesday morning in downtown Buffalo.

Nateonna J. Roland, 22, of Buffalo, has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, police said. Roland surrendered to Northwest District Officers Lamar R. Reeves and Kaitlynn A. D'Amico at the D District station on Hertel Avenue, police added.

Police said the incident – described as a domestic dispute – occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Eagle Street, and resulted in a 21-year-old male allegedly being stabbed in the chest.

The male, whose identity was not released pending notification of family members, was taken in a private vehicle to Buffalo General Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad detectives, working under Sgt. William Cooley, conducted the investigation.
