A Buffalo man who was convicted of narcotics conspiracy was sentenced to serve 37 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday.

Prosecutors said that between May 2018 and January 2019, Bryheem Edwards, 30, conspired with two others to sell heroin, cocaine and fentanyl.

On May 17, 2018, the Niagara County Drug Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of crack cocaine from one of Edwards' co-defendants in the case. On May 31, 2018, the task force conducted another controlled purchase of crack cocaine, this time from Edwards, who was arrested on Oct. 23, 2018, after investigators observed him meeting with another co-defendant in the case. At the time of his arrest, investigators recovered a quantity of fentanyl.
