Buffalo police accused a Kenmore teenager today of damaging one of the fiberglass buffaloes from the "Herd About Buffalo" art exhibit.
While on patrol at about 2:45 a.m., officers saw the 17-year-old walk up and punch the bison artwork on Delaware at Hertel avenues, police said.
The bison was cracked, and pieces were broken off, said police, who emphasize how serious they are about punishing those caught vandalizing the public artwork.
William J. Hoak, of Nassau Avenue was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Police also charged him with possessing a small amount of marijuana.
