With travel restrictions in place and Canada largely returning asylum-seekers to the United States, Roxham Road in Champlain has been quiet since late March. Janet McFetridge, mayor of the Village of Champlain and a founding member of Plattsburgh Cares, returned to Roxham to recall the time she spent there over the last three years greeting people as they crossed into Canada.
