After Zaire Goodman survived the Tops Markets massacre, he and his mother, Zeneta Everhart, started a book drive to gather children's books about racism and diversity. They collected close to 10,000 books donated from around the country. The books will be held at Villa Maria College and distributed to schools and community centers.


Forever a Michigander, newly a proud Buffalonian. I worked as a freelance photojournalist for ten years with frequent contributions to The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and more, before joining the staff at The Buffalo News in summer 2022.
