She earned a Bachelor of Arts in music degree (voice performance) from SUNY Buffalo State, a master’s in music from University at Buffalo and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in education at SUNY Buffalo State. The East Aurora resident, who grew up in Amherst, has been singing and performing since age 3. She and her band, which includes her brother John on drums, is scheduled to perform from noon to 3 p.m. April 6 at the Broadway Market, Food Truck Tuesdays at Larkin Square May 14, the East Aurora Music Fest June 8 and other events and venues.
What she’s wearing: Burgundy-colored sweater from Nordstrom Rack; skirt from LOFT; Circus black pumps from DSW; black tights; Kate Spade handbag, and earrings and Tiffany & Co. necklace – both gifts from family.
Signature piece: Jewelry. “I keep it simple – diamond earrings and a Tiffany necklace. They match everything – dress up, dress down,” she said.
Fashion statement: “A typical day for me includes teaching, performing or both. I’m always in front of an audience, so I want to wear things that are versatile and comfortable yet fun and stylish – and that express my personality.”
Last purchases: Balayage hair highlights from Jennifer Julia Salon on Elmwood Avenue and light-wash high-waisted jeans from Garage.
In the market for: Sunglasses for summer. She loves her current MODO frames from WNY Optical Shop because MODO collaborates with the Seva Foundation, a global nonprofit eye care organization, with the “Buy a Frame – Help a Child See” program. The program provides children in need with free eye care.
“So I would love to find sunglasses from a company that gives back and that also match my style,” she said.
