Recap

With two second half goals, St. Joe's bested their rival Canisius, 2-0, in a Monsignor Martin Association boys soccer match. Enzo Lasalla scored in the 60th minute and Joe Fronczak iced the game in the 75th minute as the Marauders improved to 9-2-0 overall, 3-0-0 in league play. "It was a normal St. Joe's-Canisius game," St. Joe's coach Mike Thoin said. "It was high energy, back and forth. We held our defensive shape very well and gave up only six shots." Kade Forkey recorded six saves for the shutout. "They're playing with a lot of intelligence and they work hard," Thoin said. "They play hard for each other and they're very young. They're the youngest group I've had in 10 years and they're doing very well. It's fun to be around them. They work their tails off."
