Workers at a Starbucks store in Amherst have voted in favor of unionizing by a 7-4 count.
The ballots cast by employees of the store at Niagara Falls Boulevard and East Robinson Road were counted Thursday by the National Labor Relations Board. The outcome was another victory for Starbucks Workers United in its organizing efforts.
The union has prevailed in elections at six area stores. The outcome remains unresolved at three other stores where elections were held.
The NLRB is scheduled to count ballots July 11 for an election at another Starbucks in Amherst, at 9660 Transit Road in Transit Commons.
