The 76West Clean Energy Competition is accepting applications for its 2020 edition, with $2.5 million in prize money at stake.
The competition, presented by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, will take applications through March 2. Through the course of the competition, 20 semifinalists will be named, before judges recommend four finalists to receive the prize money in fall 2020. The grand prize winner will win $1 million, while the other three entrants will receive $500,000 each.
CleanFiber, a maker of high-performance building insulation with a facility in Blasdell, won $250,000 in this year's edition of 76West, which had a different prize structure.
