Versatile Longwood University forward Jordan Cintron is transferring to Niagara, verbalcommits.com reported.
Cintron, who is from the Bronx, entered the transfer portal March 26 after his third season at Longwood.
He became a starter last season, starting 29 of 31 games and averaging a career-high 24.3 minutes per game. He averaged 6.2 points and 6.2 rebounds and shot 45.7% from the field.
For his career, he is averaging five points and 4.3 rebounds and is a 46.4% shooter.
At 6'8" and 220 pounds, Cintron is able to play multiple positions using his size, strength and athleticism and is noted for his rebounding and defense.
Cintron has not yet graduated from Longwood so would need to sit out next season under NCAA transfer rules.
Niagara has had two players sign letters of intent in the Class of 2020: Tah’Jae Hill, a point guard from Hilton, and center Tuoba Traore, a center from Mali who attends Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia.
