If you want to be tested through the Erie County Health Department to see if you've been already infected with Covid-19 and now carry antibodies against the virus, you'll have to wait until June.
Erie County received 100,000 Covid-19 antibody tests but was inundated by requests for appointments to be tested.
"Our phone lines got blasted yesterday because people were calling for antibody testing," said County Executive Mark Poloncarz on Wednesday. "We've had so many people call. Thousands have tried to get antibody testing in just the last 24-hour period."
Antibody tests are by appointment only and have already been booked through May.
Anyone interested in either an antibody test or a Covid-19 diagnostic test should call 716-858-2929.
