May 20-31 – Spring turkey season for upstate New York continues. Limit is two bearded birds per season but only one per day. One-half hour before sunrise to noon. Contact dec.ny.gov for more info.

May 21 – Virtual webinar meeting on Lake Erie and the upper Niagara River starting at 7 p.m. For information on how to log in, visit dec.ny.gov.

May 23-25 – 56th annual National Lake Trout Derby on Seneca Lake. Check out laketroutderby.org for details.

May 30 – Inland muskellunge season opens (not the Great Lakes) with a 40-inch minimum size and a daily limit of one fish per person.

May 31 – Final day, spring turkey season in upstate New York.

May 31-June 5 – Salmon Slam on Lake Ontario, best five salmon and two trout over seven days. Register at wilsonharborinvitational.com. You do not have to be in the Wilson Invitational event. Cost to register is $335 per team.

May 31-June 5 – $1K a Day event for the biggest salmon on Lake Ontario caught each day through June 5. Register for $125 at wilsonharborinvitational.com for details. Free for anyone registered in the WHI tournament.

June 2 – Lake Ontario Charter Boat Association will hold its monthly meeting at Irondequoit Bay Fish and Game Club, 658 Bay Front S., Rochester, starting at 7 p.m. lakeontariocharterboatassociation.com.

June 6 – Wilson Harbor Invitational Salmon Tournament out of Wilson Harbor. Best 6 salmon. Social distancing will be observed and there will be a virtual captains meeting. wilsonharborinvitational.com

June 7-13 – 7th annual Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) in New York. nyis.info

June 13-21 – 36th annual Southtowns Walleye Derby on Lake Erie. Registration is now taking place. Visit southtownswalleye.com for details. Over $100,000 in cash and prizes. Social distancing rules will be in place.

June 15 – Niagara County Fisheries Development Board monthly meeting will be held at 6 p.m. via conference call.

June 14 – 25th annual Hunting Heritage Banquet of the Niagara County Gobblers Chapter of NWTF at Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Dinner at 5 p.m. Call Pam or Herb Lederhouse at 791-3151 for details.

Sept. 26 – Spring gun raffle, Three-F Club, Lewiston, has been rescheduled from the April 25 date at the club, 904 Swann Road. Tickets sold will remain eligible.

May 23 – Safe Harbor Open Bass league has canceled several early season tournaments. Also, June 6.

June 5-6 – Lake Ontario Pro-Am Salmon Team Tournament out of Wilson and Olcott. Will be rescheduled for June 4-5, 2021. lakeontarioproam.net

June 11 – Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association monthly meeting in Amherst, featuring a round table with multiple captains, has been canceled. lotsa1.org

July 16-26 – 30th annual Stephen Harrington Memorial Erie Canal Fishing Derby. Rescheduled for July 15-25, 2021. eriecanalderby.com.
