The Niagara County Health Department reported Thursday that a 70-year-old woman is the latest person to die in the county from the Covid-19 virus.
The woman, who had a prior underlying health condition, brought the county's Covid death toll to 24.
The county also listed 20 new confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the county total to 460 since the pandemic started.
The county's online map shows 119 cases have been in Niagara Falls, 58 in North Tonawanda, 51 in Wheatfield, 50 in the Town of Lockport and 41 in the City of Lockport,
As of Thursday, 23 coronavirus patients from Niagara County are hospitalized, 194 are isolated at home, and 219 have recovered, the Health Department said.
Through Tuesday, 2,390 county residents had been tested for the virus, with 16.8% being positive, according to State Health Department statistics.
