Erie County had 12 more Covid-19-related deaths, bringing the total to 266, reported County Executive Mark Poloncarz Thursday evening.
The county saw 95 more confirmed cases, raising the total number to 3,410.
The county did break its three-day climb in Covid-19 hospitalizations.
Poloncarz said that, as of Tuesday, hospitalizations had fallen from a record high of 258 hospitalizations to 253, though that figure is still the second-highest hospitalization total for Erie County.
The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care fell by eight patients to 108, reinforcing the plateauing county trend line in the number of critical cases.
Another source of good news was that after three days in a row of Covid-19 hospital admissions exceeding discharges, patient discharges exceeded admissions by one as of Tuesday, the county executive said.
