Now, more than ever, people might be on the search for short term living options in the Western New York area.
Whether it’s a traveling doctor or nurse, a job transfer, or lapse in living arrangements (such as a home purchase, delayed home construction, divorce or separation), short-term housing offers easy living with everything you need included.
RANE Property Management spoke to [BN] Home about the short terms options that they offer in our area and what the benefits are for the short term renter.
“With any of our corporate apartments, all you need to do is bring your clothes and a toothbrush,” said RaeAnn Plouffe, Director of Operations & Marketing. “These apartments are fully furnished and completely turn-key offering a linen and housewares package with each unit.”
You’ll find that you don’t have to sacrifice luxury when staying in a short-term apartment either. Units include large gourmet kitchens, granite countertops, walk in closets and high end finishes throughout.
Another benefit: Everything is included. All utilities including cable and internet are part of the package. This all-inclusive pricing is attractive to corporate relocation providers, recruiters and residents.
Flexibility is also key when staying in a short-term apartment at RANE, residents can sign a lease for as little as 30 days or as long as a year. Need to extend? That’s usually not a problem either.
Here are some options:
The Shoppes at Fox Creek, located at 9500 Transit Road in East Amherst, offer spacious and bright 1 and 2 bedroom corporate apartments above mixed use retail. This location is in easy walking distance to groceries, coffee shops and restaurants.
According to Sue Dobmeier, Community Manager, “We have snowbirds that return each year that call The Shoppes home during the summer month, we love seeing our return residents.”
Lockwood Villas, located at 2493 Sweet Home Road in Amherst, also has one- and two-bedroom corporate apartments that are popular with many of the local companies in the area, and are just down the street from The University at Buffalo North campus.
“People are looking to stay in reputable communities with a full staff in place in case anything goes wrong, that’s what we can offer more than what a typical Airbnb does. People can move in and feel an immediate sense of community, even if they are only here for two months,” stated April Hockwater, Community Manager.
By the end of 2020 Dockside Village apartments in East Amherst, another popular RANE community, will be building eight new corporate apartments over mixed use retail as part of their Phase IV addition.
Plouffe also added, “There is a need for corporate/short term apartments. We work closely with our local businesses and corporations to make a relocation easy for them and for their new employee, it’s one of the great services we offer.”
