Volunteer attorneys sought to help with Covid-19 legal woes

New York's courts are hoping to help residents who run into legal problems because of the pandemic.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Saturday said the state Unified Court System is seeking attorneys statewide to provide pro bono legal assistance.

He predicted many will need legal help with housing issues and access to government programs.

The court system and the New York State Bar Association are organizing a Covid-19 Pro Bono Network.
