Letter: Albany must protect disabled from constant budget reductions

To New York State government: We are begging, pleading, urging and imploring officials to stop the budget cuts for the disabled. They are our most vulnerable citizens and with so many of the group homes disappearing, they have nowhere else to turn. My husband is not disabled, but I am and also have a relative (over 21) in downstate New York. We plead to make the disabled your top priority this year and no more budget cuts for them, please. While we recognize the fact there are other concerns, we believe not enough attention is being paid to the most vulnerable, the disabled.
