Woman's car stolen from Niagara Falls nursing home parking lot

A woman emerged from working the overnight shift at the Schoellkopf Health Center to find her 2005 Chevrolet Suburban had been stolen from the facility parking lot, police said Sunday.

The victim, a Niagara Falls Boulevard resident, told police that she parked in the Pine Avenue lot upon arriving for work at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center facility around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon leaving at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, she discovered the vehicle was missing.

The woman reported that she had recently purchased the vehicle from a city resident and was told that there was only one key available for the vehicle, which she still had in her possession.

She listed her loss at $1,500, the amount she said she paid for the vehicle.
