New York has extended the deadline for renewing licenses, non-driver IDs and registrations for vehicles with an expiration date of March 1 or later.
But vehicle inspections aren't exempt, even amid a pandemic, according to the New York DMV.
"Vehicle inspection requirements remain unchanged," the DMV website says.
So if your inspection expires April 1, you'd better head out to an auto repair shop. Don't worry: they have been deemed "essential."
