PUSH Buffalo to cancel April rent payments for its tenants

PUSH Buffalo on Thursday announced that it will cancel April rent payments for all of its residential and commercial tenants.

PUSH Buffalo has 99 residential and five commercial tenants – including its non-profit partners, Ujima Company, Peace of the City and the African Heritage Food Co-op.

The community agency, which was established to create strong Buffalo neighborhoods and increase affordable housing, will be calling on developers and large landlords in the city to take similar actions before April 1, to allow people to keep their homes and stay out of rental debt during the Covid-19 pandemic.
