Another local college has postponed its spring commencement ceremonies.
Daemen College on Wednesday announced that it has pushed back its May 16 graduation ceremonies due to the spread of the new coronavirus.
But unlike the University at Buffalo and SUNY Buffalo State, which postponed commencements and have not determined new dates, Daemen has rescheduled both its graduate and undergraduate ceremonies for Saturday, Aug. 15, in Kleinhans Music Hall.
Members of the campus in Amherst were notified in a letter sent by the college president's office.
"I know this scenario is not ideal, but we want to make sure our graduating students are honored and recognized with a first-class ceremony," the letter states.
