Niagara County announced Monday evening that it has posted online a list of restaurants in the county offering takeout food or delivery services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The spreadsheet includes hours, phone numbers and services available. More than 100 restaurants are on the list, including some that have only started offering takeout and delivery since the pandemic began.
Dining at restaurants is not allowed, by order of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. Restaurants providing takeout are required to allow for 6-foot social distancing for customers.
“Social distancing remains a critical protective action all persons should take. Maintaining a distance of approximately 6 feet from others, when possible, is key for those utilizing restaurant services for takeout or delivery," Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel J. Stapleton said.
Stapleton also announced in a Facebook video that the county will soon post an online map locating its known Covid-19 cases. There were 12 as of Monday afternoon, along with 64 people in quarantine, none of whom were showing symptoms of the virus.
