Letter: Touching screens does not promote community health

A lot of prevention advice is being published but I have not seen one item of great concern addressed.

Many businesses: restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, veterinarians, diagnostic labs, etc., now require customers to use communal touch screens to check in or out. I hope they will be required to provide antiseptic wipes or employ another means of doing business to guard against the spread of disease.

I, personally, do not plan to touch such screens. The merchant can provide an alternative or I’ll do business elsewhere.
