University at Buffalo guard Jayvon Graves, St. Bonaventure guard Kyle Lofton and Louisville forward Jordan Nwora were named to the NABC Division I All-District men's basketball teams, which were announced Monday.
Graves, a junior from Malvern, Ohio, was named to the first-team NABC District 14 team, made up of Mid-American Conference players. Graves, a first-team All-MAC selection, led the Bulls in scoring (17.1 points per game), averaged 5.4 rebounds per game and was fifth in the MAC in scoring.
Graves announced last week that he has entered his name into consideration for the NBA draft in June. He has not hired an agent, so that he can maintain his college eligibility.
Lofton, a sophomore from Hillside, N.J., was named to the first-team District 4 team, made up of Atlantic 10 Conference players. Lofton, a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection, averaged 14.1 points and six assists per game, and shot 44.1% from the floor in 34 games. Lofton also tied for the national lead in minutes per game (38.4) with Binghamton's George Tinsley.
Nwora, a Park School graduate, was named to the first-team District 2 team, made up of Atlantic Coast Conference players. He averaged 18 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 31 games for the Cardinals. He finished the season as the ACC's third-leading scorer, behind Syracuse's Elijah Hughes (19 points per game) and North Carolina's Cole Anthony (18.5). Nwora was also eighth in the ACC in rebounds.
Nwora is expected to re-enter the NBA draft this spring.
