M&T Bank limits branch access

M&T Bank is joining a host of other banks serving the region in temporarily limiting public access to its branch lobbies, to help combat the spread of Covid-19.

Starting Monday, M&T's branch lobbies will be open by appointment only. Its ATMs and drive-up windows will remain open, and customers still have access to their accounts via phone and digital service, as well.

"This temporary operating model adjustment will allow us to continue to serve our communities during these difficult times while ensuring the health and well-being of our employees and customers – which remains our top priority," said Richard Gold, M&T president and chief operating officer.
