Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz unveiled a new interactive heat map to help the public track cases of Covid-19 in the county on Friday.
The map was developed by the Department of Environment & Planning and Graphic Information Systems services.
Persons can track the amount of confirmed cases, deaths, those recovered and active cases. Amherst/Williamsville has the highest amount of cases with 10.
It is using the same technology as the one developed by researchers at Johns Hopkins University that is currently tracking cases worldwide. The one developed by Erie County will only show results within the county.
The map will be updated daily.
The map can be found at erie.gov/covidmap.
