Lifetime Service & Solutions – a division of the Advantage Company that replaced the former Stereo Advantage retail business – is shifting its sites in New York and California to "servicing and refurbishing of essential medical equipment."
"We're trying to help in any way we can," said Katherine Ragusa, CEO of Advantage, which also owns the Tony Walker Center in Williamsville.
Ragusa said the company is "just putting this together," but will make its entire facilities and operations available, with medical equipment taking priority over the regular business. She estimated that Lifetime can service and refurbish "thousands of units," but is still "looking into what the medical community needs."
Not all of its operation is appropriate for medical equipment, but anything that can be converted is being made available, including its clean room, Ragusa said.
"We are trying to fast-track this as soon as possible," she said. "There is already some work we are already doing for the medical community, but it is a negligible amount. We are confident we can do much more."
