Bank of Akron shareholders approve sale

Bank of Akron shareholders have voted to approve the bank's acquisition by Bank on Buffalo's parent company, CNB Financial Corp.

The deal still needs regulators' approval and is expected to close in the third quarter.

Pennsylvania-based CNB Financial Corp. is the parent company of CNB Bank. Bank of Akron's branches will become Bank on Buffalo branches once the deal is complete.

CNB's $64.5 million deal for Bank of Akron was announced last December.
