The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, in conjunction with the Collegiate Officiating Consortium, announced Wednesday that one or two officials who worked games in the conference men’s basketball tournament in Atlantic City, N.J. have tested positive for COVID-19.
The names of the officials were not disclosed. One of both was on the floor for the Manhattan-Fairfield first round game on March 10 and he Manhattan-Siena quarterfinal the next day.
Also, one or both officials called the Maine-at-Vermont American East tournament game at Patrick Gym in Burlington, Vt. on March 7 and the UIC-Wright State game at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis in a Horizon League semifinal on March 9.
According to the official boxscore of the four games, one official was on the floor for all four. Two others were two games each.
