UB football announces spring schedule, Bulls WR Overton enters transfer portal

The University at Buffalo football team will hold the first of 15 spring practices on Feb. 23, and will play its annual spring game at 6 p.m. April 3.

Nine of the Bulls' practices are scheduled for the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays between Feb. 23 and April 2, except for when they take a break from March 13 through March 23. The only afternoon practice is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m. All practices are expected to take place at UB Stadium.

UB opens the 2020 season Sept. 5 at Kansas State.

UB WR enters transfer portal

UB wide receiver Tito Overton confirmed to the News that he entered the transfer portal on Tuesday.

247Sports originally reported that Overton, who will be a fifth-year senior, had entered the transfer portal. He appeared in six games for the Bulls in 2019, and had one catch for 16 yards and a pair of kickoff returns for 42 yards. Overton redshirted as a freshman in 2016, and in three seasons at UB, he had two catches for 23 yards and seven kickoff returns for 135 yards.

Overton is the third player from UB's 2019 roster to explore a transfer. Defensive tackle Chibueze Onwuka entered the transfer portal last week after playing three seasons at UB. Linebacker Ja’Varius Harrison announced in December his intention to leave UB, and transferred to East Tennessee State in January.
