It's a busy time for new concert announcements. Here's what we've got that's new listed in order of performance date.
Megadeth and Lamb of God with Trivium and In Flames, 6 p.m. June 26 at the Darien Lake Amphitheater. This co-headlining tour marks the first tour for Megadeth since singer Dave Mustaine's cancer diagnosis. "I’m back again, better than ever and coming to a town near you with Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames. If you want high octane metal madness this is the tour for you," Mustaine said in a concert announcement.
Janet Jackson, 8 p.m. July 21 at KeyBank Center. The Grammy Award-winning pop singer returns to Buffalo on her "Black Diamond World Tour," which will include a special performance of "Rhythm Nation 1814," which recently marked its 30th anniversary as well as new songs off the forthcoming "Black Diamond."
Tickets are $49.95 to $184.95 and go on sale at noon Feb. 13 through the KeyBank Center box office, at tickets.com, livenation.com or by calling 888-223-6000. A random handbill policy will be in effect and handbills are available now. VIP tickets range from $349 to $1,195 with a breakdown on the packages on the KeyBank Center website. Backstreet Boys, 7:30 p.m. July 25 at Darien Lake Amphitheater. Backstreet's back. The band has extended its 2019 sold-out North American "DNA Tour" by announcing a second leg of the tour that kicks off July 10 in New York.
Tickets are $39 to $299.50 and go on sale at noon Feb. 14 through livenation.com, ticketmaster.com. A fan club presale starts at 10 a.m. Feb. 11. Each ticket includes free same-day admission to Six Flags Darien Lake.
Rage Against the Machine with Run the Jewels, 8 p.m. July 27 at KeyBank Center. This is a big one as a reunited Rage Against the Machine – vocalist Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk – is touring together for the first time since 2011.
Tickets are $125 and go on sale at 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at box office, tickets.com, or by calling 888-223-6000. There will not be sales at the KeyBank Center box office. According to a release, the band will be working with multiple charities and activist organizations throughout the tour.
Chicago, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7 in the Artpark Mainstage Theater, Lewiston. The legendary rock band returns to the area in its 53rd consecutive year of touring.
