A public meeting in the Village of Lancaster will discuss the two new roundabouts planned as part of the downtown renaissance.
The roundabout project aims to ease traffic congestion and improve pedestrian safety by changing the conventional signal intersections at Pleasant and Central avenues, and at Aurora Street and Central. Officials hope to complete the design phase by December, with construction expected to begin in 2021.
The meeting, open to all residents, seeks input about public concerns and ideas about the project, as well as the streetscape between the roundabouts. It will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Lancaster Opera House, 21 Central Ave.
Representatives of the project team will also attend Family Fun Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Lancaster High School Field House, 1 Forton Drive, to solicit feedback about the project and answer questions.
