The Delavan Metro Rail station is closed Thursday while automobile traffic in the area of Main Street and Jefferson Avenue has been disrupted due to an overnight water main break near Canisius College.
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced Thursday morning that the NFTA Delavan Station was closed and that trains are running from University Station to Humboldt Station and from Utica Station to Erie Canal Harbor Station. The NFTA said that the Metro Bus 8-Main will be running every 15 minutes.
The Buffalo Police Department said Thursday morning that the water main break has caused lane restrictions at Main and Jefferson that will be in place "for a couple of days" and that drivers should anticipate delays.
