Bisons promotional schedule kicks off with night opener April 17

A special event for their first night opener since 2008 will kick off the Buffalo Bisons’ promotional schedule for 2020 at Sahlen Field.

The game against the Rochester Red Wings on Friday, April 17, will be an Opening Night Honda fridaynightbash! with a fireworks show. A special flash sale of tickets from now until Jan. 26 is being held for Opening Night and April home games.

Nearly half – 31 games – on the 70-game home schedule will be played on weekends, and 14 fireworks shows are planned.

The promotional lineup includes Star Wars Night, presented by Alfred State College, on June 6; the 26th annual KeyBank Independence Eve celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on July 3; Superhero Night on Aug. 15; and Fan Appreciation Night on Aug. 29.

Honda fridaynightbash! themes will include Disco Night (May 15), '80s night (June 5), Ghostbusters Tribute Night (July 17) and Family Campout (July 31).

Among 10 giveaway dates will be Bo Bichette bobbleheads to the first 4,000 fans on July 11.

The Bisons again will don blue and gold for Hockey Night on Aug. 1 and powder blues for Blue Jays Day on July 12. Seinfeld Tribute Night returns on Aug. 4 with actor Matt McCoy (Lloyd Braun on the show) signing autographs and Mystery Ball Night to benefit the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame on Aug. 26.

Labatt-urday Nights, Buster’s Kids Club Sunday, Markdown Mondays and six Dog Day events starting April 18 are on the schedule, as are Irish night (June 16), Italian Night (July 16) and Polish Night (Aug. 11).
