Village of Lancaster suspends winter parking ban

The Village of Lancaster has suspended its overnight winter parking ban on village streets until Jan. 1, Mayor William C. Schroeder announced.

If a significant snowfall is forecast, the parking ban will be re-instated.

The relatively warm weather this week also prompted several other municipalities to suspend parking rules. Buffalo suspended its ban on parking on bus routes until 1:30 a.m. Friday. The Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore lifted their overnight parking bans until 2 a.m. Jan. 2.
